How can you help your neighbors here in Idaho and honor someone helping to bring peace around the world? Be sure to attend the 25th Annual St. Valentine’s Day Massacre for the Idaho Epilepsy Foundation.
On February 8 at the Center on the Grove, you will have the chance to be entertained by some of Boise’s best – The Fool Squad – as they share snarks and smiles about the event’s honorees of the past 24 years. And in a “can’t miss” moment, the keynote speaker will be Greg Mortenson, whose story is memorialized in the best seller “Three Cups of Tea.”
If you are looking for a way to be inspired and shown how just one person (perhaps you!) can make an enormous impact in the lives of others, you need to attend this event. Mr. Mortenson has worked for more than 10 years to bring schools to rural parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan as part of an effort to honor his sister who died at age 23 as a result of epilepsy. Through his work, he has brought new life and hope to over 25,000 children.
The evening will make you laugh, may make you cry, and will definitely make you realize the power you have to make a difference in our community and in the world. Tickets are $125 per person, and for $250 you can the dinner and a special reception with Mr. Mortenson. To purchase tickets or more details, call 344-4340 or visit
