There is nothing more we like to hear of than those in our community doing something to help our neighbors. Lisa Peterson’s Communications class at Boise State University was challenged to work in small groups to take on a project that would make an impact.
On Friday, April 10 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, you can applaud their efforts and help support the Idaho Foodbank at the students’ Style a la Carte Cut-a-thon. At the Oliver Finley Academy of Cosmetology, located at 10222 Fairview, you can get a shampoo, cut and style in exchange for your donation of food to the Foodbank. Many thanks to the students at the Academy for donating their time and talent to help the Foodbank!
Donation bins will also be set up around the BSU campus for nonperishable and canned goods. For more information, contact Abigail Ollie at 250-3800. Our kudos to Ms. Peterson and all of her students for making a difference! It is the efforts of people like her class, in showing such care and compassion for others, that make the Treasure Valley such an amazing place to live.
